Christof wrote a world generator for our upcoming game, codename Stoneball
It is written in Python and allows to create a randomized world with mountains, rivers and so on and has also some nice features like temperature zones.
It is in an early stage but functional and we already uploaded it to github because we wanted to make the game open source and available for everyone (see post below)
You can download it there, install it with the instructions from the README file but beware that you are needing Python and its only tested on Linux so far. Below are screenshots of a generated world, its groundwater and temperature.
erm ... after our server move we lost the attachments - i will make new screenshots when I find time and motivation
